Govt concerns over Prince Andrew role
There are increasing concerns at the top levels of Government over Prince Andrew's role as a trade ambassador and his friendship with a convicted American paedophile, Government sources have said. The Duke of York met with Sir Jon Cunliffe, David Cameron's most senior adviser on Europe and business, on Tuesday to discuss his position. Reports suggest the Duke's official role will be downgraded after a "tasking review".

William Hague told The Politics Show that Prince Andrew has his confidence, saying: "I've seen a lot of benefits that he has brought in in countries that I have visited where he's been performing that role. I'm not an expert on what you say are the embarrassments, I haven't had time, with everything going on in the Middle East, to look at those things. But certainly I've seen around the world a lot of good that he has done for this country."
